Forest Products Forum - World Forestry Center, Portland, Oregon - September 12, 2017

Come join us for our 7th Annual Forest Products Forum—the premier conference featuring forward-looking analysis of the wood products, timber and wood biomass sectors. This one-day event will feature industry-leading economists from Forest Economic Advisors (FEA) addressing a wide range of hot-button topics as well as a variety of outside experts offering their views on the most important issues facing stakeholders in the industry. Following successful events in each of the years from 2011-2016, Forest Economic Advisors (FEA) will once again host an event in conjunction with Who Will Own the Forest? 13. This year’s Forum will be at the front-end of the Who Will Own the Forest? event. We will provide a full day of analysis on September 12th followed by the industry’s best-attended cocktail reception at the WFC Discovery Museum.

Could we see a shortage of LVL capacity by the middle of the decade?

Will a strong US dollar cause a sharp increase in fiberboard imports?

Is the wood biomass industry viable in an era when natural gas is trading barely more than half of its ten-year average price?

We called our event a Forum to reflect a variety of informed viewpoints on the issues of the day and we have arranged to bring in several outside speakers to supplement and, sometimes challenge, our analysis. The 2017 Forum will examine a wide range of topics.
