U.S Mortgage Rates Dip Slightly

Freddie Mac has reported the results of its Primary Mortgage Market Survey®. The weekly average rate for new mortgages, as of 2^nd January 2020 were slightly lower.  A 30-year fixed rates dropped to 3.72%, from last week’s 3.74%. However, the rate was down when compared to a year ago when they were at 4.51%. The average fee remained unchanged at 0.7 points. The 15-year fixed rates remain unchanged at 3.16%, down from 3.19% last week. The 15-year rates were down from 3.99% from a year ago.
